Wow it's been awhile since I typed anything here. But I've been busy and consumed with playing Dragon Age lately. >_>

I must say it's a great game, if you like a good story, fun characters, and an air of darkness about things or well just anything Bioware touches in general I highly recommend Dragon Age. I thoroughly enjoyed my first playthrough and I think Bioware wins the award for the first game to make me actually sniffle at the ending on top of making me feel guilty. I feel like such a softy which is liable to make those of you who RP with me lol -_- and for once a video game I played nailed 'morally gray' so kudos Bioware.

And I have to applaud all the writers who worked on the characters, despite the past when it was a simple, 'good' answer makes character happy, 'bad' answer doesn't, you actually had to pay attention to the different personalities and adjust accordingly. They actually behave more like actual humans and you could see a transition as you gained influence with some of them. And Allistair... I thought I would utterly despise the guy and I was horribly wrong. I'm wishing I'd saved that romance option for later because I don't give a lick about the others now which is really saying something. >_<

Combat in the game had some ups and downs, sometimes it felt hard, other times easy and a few of the dungeons were gruelingly long (the healer is your friend became my motto). But while others complain about it, I really found it fine minus the one crazy long dungeon. Finishing that long one though really left me with a sense of accomplishment, an 'OMG I survived!' which made it seem worth it. My whole party would die on occasion, but with boss fights I hardly kicked the bucket more than a few times before I was able to manage things. First playthrough with a rogue dual wielding city elf went well though, I was surprised since rogues tend to get utterly owned if you don't know just how to use or spec them and I managed well. Having a rogue to stealth and take out mages in a few quick stabs was more useful than anything really and I tended to either go rogue, 2 tanks, and a mage or 2 mages, a tank, and a rogue which worked out well most of the time. I'm still debating about the next round, right now I'm thinking mage although human noble warrior is calling me too. I'll make up my mind at some point.

That reminds me that I need to get the Dragon Age soundtrack too so I can stop just using youtube. >_<

But in conclusion, I'm planning on taking a break for a bit from Dragon Age if I can pry myself away for long and should homework not smite me this week, I'm hoping to finish up a few things. I'll just have to see, life loves tossing me curve balls.
